The following writeup is a response to the posting on this blog dated, July, 21, by Rev. Francis Muhanji (Montfort), student of theology, Hekima College, Nairobi.
[Thank you Father for your good writing on how we can experience God in our daily lives. For me, I think we can experience God in every experience of our lives including emotions (feelings), friends, in problems we face, in prayer, in joyful moments etc. All these experiences guide us to worship God accordingly in one's own state. To verfy this, you should visit the book of Psalms in the old Testament to see the various Psalms of sorrow, joy, lamentation, and so on. But in spiritual life we need love, hope and faith. But above all, love enables us to sacrifice, to be faithful, to show concern for our enemies, to follow Jesus' example, to live by the rule of humility, to forgive, to respect others, and to be confident in all that we do. Let me share with you what Saint Paul writes to Philemon. Brother Philemon, every time i pray, i mention you and give thanks to my God. For i hear of your love for all of God's people and the faith you have in the Lord Jesus. My prayer is that our fellowship with you as believers will bring about a deeper understanding of every blessing which we have in our life in union with Christ. Your love, dear brother, has brought me great joy and much encouragement! You have cheered the hearts of all of God's people. (Philemon. 4:7).]
